Jubilee Church Children Camp 2012
Dear Parents/Caregivers,
Greetings from the organizers of Jubilee Church Children Camp 2012!
We are excited to have your child come for the camp. During these 3 days, your child will work together with other children, learning how they can give their personal best, share and cooperate with others, and learn about the fruit of the Spirit – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control – through games, crafts, dramas, dancing and singing.
As part of the camp activities, we will be taking the children to Bedok Reservoir on Friday 7 December for some team building games and to visit the Dignity Kitchen. It is Singapore’s first hawker training school for disabled and disadvantaged people. We hope that our children will be educated on the challenges of the disabled and elderly and be sensitive to the needs of the less fortunate around us.
To enable us to run the camp smoothly, please take note of the following:
1. The camp runs from 8.30 am to 6 pm on 6 December (first day of the camp) and 9am to 6pm on 7 – 8 December (subsequent days). Do bring your child on time as programmes start punctually.
2. We encourage your child to participate on all 3 days of the programme to fully benefit from the camp. If your child is unable to come on any of the 3 days, please let us know in advance.
3. Arrange for your child to bring the following :
a. Water bottle
b. An extra set of inner and outer clothes
4. Please ensure your child wears the Camp T-shirt and a cap on 7 December (Day 2), as we are going outdoors that day.
5. We suggest comfortable T-shirt, shorts and running shoes or sandals as camp attire. Label all belongings to avoid confusion.
6. Please do not bring any personal games, toys or valuables to the camp.
7. Ensure that you have checked-out with your child’s respective Group Leader before bringing your child home.
Finally, we would like to invite you to join us for a Tea Reception on Saturday 8 December. Tea commences at 4.15 pm. Do come and see for yourself what your child has achieved during the camp.
If you have any queries, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
